More announcements...

Okay so I finally got the tripod out to use for some videos and stuff. But we will not start the OvP series until around Christmas time. I need to get more controllers, microphones, etc... I am really sorry for this. I just think it's necessary to get this stuff to enable making better videos. I will be doing a video for Vehicle Tricks and other stuff tomorrow. Until I put the videos on, please keep coming to this blog.

Some announcements...

Well ok.  I got the new controller a couple days ago but we haven't even started on the videos...  We are trying to have Alex and Hudson come over to my house so we can have those at least be started.  But luckily,  Hudson might be coming over tomorrow so maybe we can at least get some stuff started.  We would like ideas for OvP HQ such as videos, polls, advertising,  heck even how you would like the playlist on the right to be.  I am also trying to find a tripod i could borrow for the camera so that way I could work on some stuff alone.  If you would even like to join OvP HQ send us an email at connor@thinktankcc.com and we will talk and get to know you a bit to see if you could help us with anything.  Now our videos wont be anywhere near as good as Red vs Blue but thats why we need help.  Any help or support is greatly appreciated.  Thank you for reading this and please vote on the poll to the right.  Please keep coming to this blog!

Ideas are needed!

Ok guys. I have some news. Alex came over today and we made the first video of our section call Vehicle Tricks.  

I haven't gotten it even on my computer yet but thats because my mom is sick and can't help me. So, I will get that up soon. Umm oh yes. 

Alex has requested that he runs the section Forge Levels. I have agreed to that. We also need ideas for advertising OvP 

HQ in our school and around the city. So we want you to give us some. We need ideas for some OvP videos too. We are planning on having

Alex's girl friend joining us in some of the videos too. She is very random just like us so she'll go along perfectly with the show. We would ask

ask mine, but she totally hates Halo so we aren't even going to ask her that. Ummm what else... Oh yeah. Some ideas we already have for OvP

is we're most likely going to do a news episode, most likely not but maybe a puppet show for some really stupid reason (I have no idea what

it is going to be... I don't know, maybe my 360 got red ring or something...), and we are planning on doing a Halloween, Christmas, Easter, 4th

of July, Thanksgiving, New Years specials, etc. So please just comment or write to us at connor@thinktankcc.com. We all appreciate what you are

doing for OvP so keep those comments coming. Oh yes. One more thing before I go, we NEED ideas for the daily polls. And here is the video

Forge Level!

Yay! I finally got the first level done!  So I'll comment on them & tell you how to make the level yourself!  Here we go!  Oh yeah by the way, the pictures got screwed up so just start at the bottom of this post and work your way up, please.  Sorry for the inconvenience.  And the final thing I should tell you, with the weapons and grenades,  place them on each side of the map.  For instance, place a grenade on the blue side, and do the same on the red side.  So its symmetrical.  Thank you and have fun forging!

And on this side, a Spartan Laser.

Well, if you couldn't figure out what the rewarding thing was, it was a Rocket Launcher.

Before the bridge part on the underneath level, place 4 of each grenade except don't even place any fire bombs.

On the red side, on the underneath level,  place 2 mongooses.

This one, just do the same thing you did on the other grav lift.

Look right.

On these next few, look closely to the right or left, and you'll see something very rewarding if you can get to it. ;)

And underneath, place 2 ghosts on each side.

So, on the blue side, place 2 ghosts by the starting points.

So, my favorite thing about this level, is where the powerful built-in grav lifts are, place 4 of each grenade.  But for the fire bombs, only place 2.

Yay! Turret Wars!  So place one of each on each side.

Finally on the under part,  place a Gravity Hammer, and 2 Energy Swords next to it.

In the middle, place 2 frags, spike, and plasma grenades... Wait, I said that already.

Ok When your heading over to the other side, place a Sentinel Beam in front of the barricade.

Ok, in the middle, I want you to place a Flame Thrower.  Then, make a little box using explosives. Finally, place 2 propane burners on the side of that.  This makes getting the Flame Thrower a really difficult challenge.

Theres that fuel rod cannon.

Ok in the middle, place a brute shot on the side.  But on the other side, don't put another one, place a fuel rod cannon instead.

So a while back, I had you place a Regenerator with an explosive and a plasma pistol.  On this ledge, do the same, but make the Regenerator an Energy Drain.

Ughh sorry it is so jumpy with the pics.  Ok place a Bubble Shield a little farther back.

Theres  a close up of the grenades.

A little farther back place 2 plasma rifles on each side, and 2 of plasma grenades, and 2 spike grenades

So kind of in the middle, place a needler, and 2 revolvers.  If you look really close, a little farther ahead behind the barricade, you can see 2 frag grenades, 2 spike grenades, and 2 plasma grenades.

Sorry were jumping around a lot.  So go back a little farther, and place 2 magnums behind the barricade.

On the ledge a little farther up, place an explosive, a Regenerator, and a plasma pistol.

Theres that other SMG that I told you to put on the opposite wall.

Ok, A little farther back, put 2 spikers on the sides, a grav lift, a trip mine, and a deployable cover on the top.

Do the same to the wall to the left, only make the Energy Drain a Flare.

So on this little ledge, put a propane burner, an Energy Drain, a beam rifle, and an explosive. Oh yeah, the propane burners explode when you shoot them. ;)

So a little below the sniper rifle, theres 2 walls that you can put a shotgun to the left, and a battle rifle to the right.

Theres that sniper rifle again.

So theres a sniper rifle right behind that barricade thingy.  And I also put 2 mongooses to the sides, still being sheltered from the opposite team.

So, were moving farther up the hill so put an SMG gun by the wall.  Do the same with the other wall.

You also may have noticed that the starting points have explosives right by them, making it a mine field.

And another.  I put them behind walls to hide them from the opposing team.

On the blue side, put a mongoose by the starting points.

Do the same on the other side but this time, use 2 firebomb grenades and 4 spike grenades.

So start out by putting 4 frag and plasma grenades close to the starting points.

Delayed OvP videos... Kinda.

Well,  OvP is delayed, yet again...  I went to Game Stop at the mall tonight and I looked at Xbox 360 controllers.  Wireless are $50 while the wired, are $25.  I asked Alex what kind I should get. He said wireless.  Now, I get paid $50 per month so I was going to get two wired ones instead of one wireless.  But, Alex said once I get it, I'll have it for the rest of the life time of my Xbox so I better get the higher quality one.  So, OvP has been delayed yet again... Kinda.

But this doesn't mean It wont be another month later.  It means that the videos will be very boring probably because it won't have more than two characters in the video.  So, this just means that it will be pretty boring for the first video.  Well, I hope you aren't too mad at me for agreeing with Alex, I just want to have my 360 in a good condition, that's all.

Forge Levels

Well, I got my first Forge level done.  I got it done a little bit earlier than I had planned so it won't be posted on November 1st.  But just because I got the level all done, doesn't mean I will post it tomorrow, or even this weekend!  I still need to do all the pictures of it & maybe the video.  So I will do it probably on Monday or Tuesday.  Well, I got Alex and Hudson to join me as authors on this so I'm not alone anymore!  YAY!!!!!  Yes, I am having fun with all of the tools above now if you haven't noticed.  So, I hope you keep on visiting!
